Assembly & Placement Defects -
Misplaced Lead
Damaged leads or poor coplanarity is unlikely to
be a placement machine problem. In the example the end lead is
lifted and has probably been caused by poor handling of the devices.
This often occurs due to poor packaging of the waffle trays allowing
them to twist.

of the device. |
The fault may also be seen due to re-use of parts rejected
by the placement machine. Some machines tend to just dump the parts into
a bin hence the corner pins are distorted.
