Entry Rules

Please attach the following items as part of your Global Technology Awards entry:

Requirements

Companies must submit a single, complete entry form for each product or service and for each category entered. Entries that fail to comply with the submission requirements will result in automatic disqualification.

All entries must be accompanied by:

1. Official entry form (photocopies ok).
2. A check for the appropriate entry fees of $500 USD made payable to Trafalgar Publications Ltd.
3. Up to 250-word statement on a disk/CD, or e-mailed to awards@globalsmt.net describing the product or service as it relates to innovativeness, cost effectiveness, speed/throughput improvements, quality contribution, ease of use, maintainability and repairability, and technology advancement.
4. A PDF or Word file on a disk/CD (or e-mailed to awards@globalsmt.net) of technical product literature and/or product specifications documenting a service program along with appropriate customer approval letters.
5. High resolution product image (minimum 3x5” at 300 dpi as a .tif or .jpg file) on a disk/CD or e-mailed to awards@globalsmt.net.
6. Company name, product name, and product or service description will be used verbatim for judging and award purposes.

The judging process will be handled through independent judges not affiliated with Global SMT & Packaging Magazine or Trafalgar Publications in any official way. The balloting process, including vote compilations, will be handled entirely by an independent market research firm.

Terms and Conditions

1. Winners will not be notified beforehand.
2. Shortlisted companies will receive a written invitation to the Global Technology Awards Presentation Ceremony.
3. The Global Technology Awards are not affiliated with any advertising program in any manner. Winners are judged solely upon the merits of their product submissions.
4. It is the judges’ option not to award a winner in a given category.
5. Materials submitted for competition become the property of Trafalgar Publications Ltd and will not be returned.
6. Entries must be postmarked or e-mailed by May 31, 2008.
7. All entries to be submitted in English language only.
8. Entries will be judged by a panel of independent adjudicators.
9. You may enter as many categories as required.
10. Submit one online entry form per category.
11. The completed entry form(s) must be emailed by the person responsible for submitting the entry.
12. Entries are non-returnable unless clearly requested otherwise.
13. The judges' decision is final; no correspondence will be entered into by any member of the judging panel.
14. All winners will be announced at the awards ceremony.
15. Awards winners may state in advertising or in promotional material, or on their stationery that they have been winners. They must include the awards logo, category and year in which they have won. Please contact hglackey@globalsmt.net for logo and promotional information

Awards Ceremony

Winners of the 2008 awards will be announced at a ceremony to be held during SMTA International in Orlando, Florida, in August 2008.

Entry deadline: May 31, 2008.
